Would you bend over backwards to buy a laptop that actually bends over backwards? (Pun intended). The new Lenovo Yoga 3 owes its name as it  bends over all the way backwards, allowing it to be twisted into various positions. It is all about the looks.

The Lenovo Yoga 3 has been termed as the most visually striking laptop ever. It is assembled from over 800 individual metal pieces.  The hinge has a very smooth texture. The lid opens to reveal a black, brushed aluminum deck with two thick metal hinges. The whole effect is pretty stunning! And if black is your color, you can get the same configuration in a light silver or white color.

The Lenovo Yoga 3 is a multi-mode laptop with an 11.6 multi-touch full HD display. It is impressively light in weight and incredibly slim, at 13.1 x 9 x 0.72 inches and 3.5 pounds, everything about holding the laptop feels right.

It also includes a mini-HDMI port, 4- in -1 card slot, a USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0 port with a combo audio jack. The YOGA 3 features a well-spaced backlit keyboard. A silky smooth surfaced touchpad.

The Lenovo Yoga 3 has a 14 inch 1920 x 1080 pixel screen which can move and flip into various postures. As it is a multi-mode laptop, it can be opened completely flat, can be folded into a tent shape without a secondary stand and can be folded completely open for use as a tablet.

The Lenovo Yoga 3 features a 720p camera above the screen. It has a total of three USB ports. There are ports for an SD card reader and headset jack.

It comes with JBL stereo speakers, and has a rich sound. However, the sound quality can be further enhanced when the device is in tablet and tent modes. As compared to 86 decibels of sound produced by a thin and airy notebook, the Lenovo Yoga 3 produces 93 decibels of sound.

The Lenovo Yoga 3 ships with Microsoft Windows 8.1, which enhances the use of touch screen with its touch friendly Start menu. Among the few pre-installed software, there is Zinio Online Newsstand, SHAREit, McAfee Internet Security etc.

It comes with a 2.2 GHz Intel Core i5 CPU, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. It offers the same performance as the more premium Yoga 3 Pro.

The battery life is decent enough with a little over 6 hours on a charge and varies with how you are using the system. On the laptop Mag Battery test, the Yoga 3 lasted 8 hours and 9 minutes on a charge.

You can buy this laptop in the Indian market at Rs. 1, 14,990.
